Maressa and Jason lived together in several cities, chasing one other's careers, before they finally made in official. To track the geography of their love story without losing track of their etherial and romantic style, I hid several tiny emblems within the greenery of their crest: an apple for New York City, an apple blossom flower (the state flower of Michigan), a six-pointed star from the Chicago flag, and a pretzel for Philadelphia. I included these delicate details just for the couple, and for any of their friends and family that want to go on a tiny scavenger hunt!
I printed the crest in the faintest blush on a vellum topper, then we attached this piece to their handmade paper invitation with super-fine paper thread. The greenery from the crest (complete with more of those little symbols) also adorns the custom-designed envelope liner and the other cards in the suite. We also carried these same details into the design of their menus for the reception.
My favorite part of any wedding is usually the dessert, and theirs was no exception. Instead of traditional favors, Maressa and Jason commissioned a local patisserie to stamp chocolate bon-bons with their wedding crest - one for each guest to eat after dinner or save for later!
