Nicole is a self-proclaimed Francophile and the couple opted for a Paris-inspired wedding, so I gladly followed that inspiration for their illustrated wedding crest in shades of mauve and blush. The shape of the crest's frame is based on an etching that I found in a dreamy 1780's book published in Paris. Since they exchanged vows at the beautiful Ivy Room, I added creeping ivy to the crest and to their printed envelope design.
More than anything else, Dan and Nicole love traveling the world together. So of course I had to to add two little love birds as a nod to these two flying between continents at any chance they get.
I know that Nicole loves this crest as much as I do, because she wanted to put it on every piece of her stationery! She let me plaster it all over the back of the details card in a pattern that reminds me of something you might find inside the cover of an antique book. For the reception's table settings, we used the same crest but swapped out the couple's monogram for table numbers, and each guest found their seat with the help of hand-calligraphed escort cards in the same style.
